Thanksgiving morning was like any other morning in South Florida. First I heard what I thought were birds scratching the ground outside the condo door. Interesting I thought, turkeys wild turkeys. do they know its Thanksgiving?
Brother Nick was in charge of the dinner arrangements and promised it would be special, and so it was. We were going to a restaurant well known for its quality, portion size, and ambiance. Buca de Pepe was all that and more.
Entering Buca de Pepe was like entering a museum of sorts. Pictures of Old Italy, rooms of famous Italian artists and there works and of course famous American Italians adorned the walls of each alcove. Various themes accompanied various rooms. Frankie, Dino, and Sophia all joined us for dinner, even the Pope sat center stage in the religious room.
It was a special dinner with special people, Mom and Nick. Nick has made my visit to South Florida a special memory and I thank him for that. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you both and I love both very much.
Dinner at the Vatican.
