DESERT ART

Anza- Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in the country. If hosts activities such as camping, hiking, off roading, and just plain old site seeing. The one activity I didn't expect is viewing art.

Dennis Avery angry at the idea of devolving a track of land known as Borrego Springs, literally at the doorstep of Anza-Borrego, bought the parcel and donated it. The terms of the donation were simple, maintain the land for public use and create art.

I entered the desert ready for a day of  learning, both intellectually and emotionally. I got more. Art, my favorite subject, was alive and well in the desert and living at Borrego Springs.
