PURGING

As I crossed the bridge and left NY I began to feel weird. Within hours of my trip I was doubled up in pain high fever and sweats. I pulled over and laid down in the back. I woke up an hour later tried to continue. To make a long story just a little shorter I wound up in a VA Hospital in Baltimore. Suddenly I was a mess. Internally my body had shut down.

Bewilder I spoke to a very smart lady named Mary Beth who happens to be my daughter and had experienced a similar event. She thought in my case it is a physical purging of my body. My trip, for lack of a better term, is as much spiritual as it is psychological and physical. I have lived in the same house since 1958 and have raised 7 children there. So this is my first time waking up and not having to make breakfast lunch and dinner or be somewhere at a certain time. The unburdening of 40 plus years of stress was to sudden and to much for my system to handle. Anyone who knows me knows I am a health fanatic. I run every day and work out. I am a vegetarian and very careful about what I eat. So, to suddenly break down and fall apart like this, to say the least, is weird. Thank you MB and thank you Baltimore VA. They electronically got my records from NY, got me meds, love those meds, and got me back on the road in 4 days. Kudos to USVA.

In the mean time I am resting at my son and daughter-in-laws house in Columbia MD and practicing camping. Thanks Frank and Brigid for taking care of me. The pictures below are my VA hospital bracelet, minus SSAN, and pretend camping. I am feeling good and as Austin Powers would say I got my mojo back. I'm on the road again. I'll see ya when I see ya.
