MOAB---PLANET ARCHES

Arches National Park is a work in progress. Mother Nature in her ultimate wisdom continues to sculpt and amaze me. Water, ice, extreme temperature, and underground salt movement are responsible for this ongoing massive sculpture garden erupting in the middle of nowhere.

I left the Colorado Rockies and headed west into Utah to see what all the hooha was about and found a remarkable landscape I didn't know existed. Like the Grand Canyon I'd seen pictures of landscapes but once again I have to say, "you've got to see it to believe it". I picked up my brother Joe at  Salt Lake City Airport and headed Southeast into the promise land of the Moab area. Joe will be joining me for a week of adventure.

PLANET ARCHES is just that, a place from another world. Once again Morher Nature has put brush to canvass and  created a masterpiece. The only difference is that this masterpiece is a three dimensional playground you can climb on making it even that much more exciting. The rock formations defy explanation in there ability to justify their existence. I ask myself why, why do they exist, for what reason any why here? Why in this hostile environment do people come together to witness this bizarre occurrence? Mother Nature has brought together an array of the most unusual circumstances to create this wonderland. Use your imagination and see what I see, the wonderment of our world.
