I hit the beaches in California and was a little disappointed. Granted CA is a big state with a lot of beaches so I'm going to break CA in half. Beaches above San Francisco and beaches below SF.
Above San Francisco I'm comparing the beaches to Oregon. Oregons beaches are spectacular visually. Granted nobody swims in them because of the gigantic bolders and cliffs but they are stunning. I hear southern CA has beautiful beaches. I will check it out and get back to you.
