THE WILD WILD WEST
The Black Hills, Badlands, Deadwood, Wild Bill Hikok, Sturgis, this is where all the bad boys come to play, why, because there is nothing else to do. There is mostly the flat open road like the heartland but without the crops. I saw billboard after billboard advertising western towns and Wild Bill this and Wild Bill that but not much else to see. And then there was Sturgis. A thriving metropolis by South Dakota's standards. Lots of bikers, I hope they don't read this. It was not until I just about left SD that I found this National Forest Preserve where I camped. Only 8 dollars for the night and all I had was a 100 dollar bill so I paid in change. Lots of change. After counting this little old lady that collected the money just couldn't understand why I had two licence plates. One from NY and one that said NAM69. I guess she wasn't a VET.
