BIG

When I think of BIG I think of the movie with the gigantic piano but not any more. Now when I think of BIG I think Montana.

From the moment I entered Montana everything got larger than life. The mountains, meadows, cliffs, and the distances between populated area's was immense. I had to stop at the first rest area because the sign said "next rest area 138 miles", that's longer than Long Island. Trains were so long that it took 10 minutes to pass and that was going in opposite direction. A traffic jam was visually seeing a car in front of you that you will never catch while seeing a car in the rear view mirror that will never catch you. The road was endless and the speed limit was 75 MPH.

But the beauty of Montana was even bigger. Nothing seemed out of place as if it were a mural. In the old movies people would drive in a car and the scenery would move behind them. That's what the entire day was like. I was standing still end this endless mural was moving past me.

Another Biggy were the people. It was the end of a long day and I needed an oil change, dinner, and a place to stay. Three different people gave me the most helpful polite advise with some interesting conversation for about $100 in total.

We're not in Kansas Todo, I mean New York, anymore!
