History has a way of "slipping through the cracks" when a government does not take responsibility for their actions. Way too many innocent lives have been lost or "damaged" because of their decisions. Forge on my friend, you are "The Link" to awareness in this country and abroad. I am honored to know you. It is the reason you and your brothers hold no guilt in this. You went here the first time as an innocent, a child. You were lied to. Money and power corrupt and draw others to the fray, you were part of the collateral damage. Our government didn't even call this a war...they referred to it as a "police action."...as if to minimize the reality of it. That has always highly irked me. So we heal, learn, move forward, make reparation, and be kind. We cannot recapture our innocence, anymore than we can unsee what should never be seen, but we can acknowledge it was stolen from us and nurture it in our children.<br />You must be road weary at this point and the trip home is long. God speed and thank you so much for sharing all this. Very enlightening. sue matthewsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
